Sami Ahmad is Vice-President of Finance and Treasury for Exterran, a global energy services company based in Houston. In this position, Mr. Ahmad has worldwide responsibility for Exterran’s Treasury operations including corporate finance, banking, credit and other key financial activities. Prior to this, Mr. Ahmad was the Director of Corporate Development for LyondellBasell Industries, the world’s third largest chemical company. Mr. Ahmad led a number of M&A and financing transactions in helping LBI grow to the world’s third largest chemical company.
Mr Ahmad is very active with various non-profit organizations in the Houston area. He is on the boards of Buffalo Bayou Partnership, a government-sponsored organization dedicated to Houston parks and OPEN Houston, an organization of leading business people of Pakistani origin. Mr. Ahmad, his wife Neelo, and their two children, Momin and Mariam, live in the Houston suburb of Bunker Hill Village.
Mr. Ahmad holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago.
