Nada Ahmed

Nada Ahmed received her bachelors from University of Richmond in Virginia. Her passion for science and languages led her to spend a year abroad at Université de Paris VII, specialized in math and sciences. There she was influenced by the environmental policies and practices of Europe and wanted to help the USA become more aware of the environment. On returning to the US she enrolled at Rice University for a Masters in Environmental Science and Analysis. Currently, she is working for a local environmental consulting firm that helps oil and gas industries manage their environmental responsibilities.
She decided to become involved with OPEN as she recognizes that to be successful in one’s career it is important to have a supportive network of mentors and peers who share the same cultural experiences and visions for the future.
