Ahmad Mian is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of FileControl Partners, Ltd., a leader in web-based knowledge and litigation management systems technology for today’s business marketplace. He is the visionary behind FileControl’s technology and product development. He is also active in strategic planning and the development of key business relationships. Under his leadership, strong partnerships and alliances have fueled over a 350% company growth in the last two years. The company now has over 300 employees in Pakistan.
Prior to founding FileControl, Ahmad was Sr. Vice president and Chief Technology Officer at Underwriters Indemnity Group. During his tenure, Mr. Mian pioneered the use of information technology, which propelled the company to a near 200% growth in revenue, reduced the number of employees and increased productivity overall. In 1997, the company was sold to RLI (NYSE: RLI), and Mr. Mian was actively involved in this transaction. Prior to his position at Underwriters Indemnity Group, Mr. Mian was a senior consultant at Soft Tech Associates in London, UK.
Ahmad has equal strengths in consultation for business processes, strategy development, team creation, by establishing metrics for productivity tracking and measurement, and forming strategic alliances with vendors and manufacturers with multimillion-dollar budget responsibilities. He has been a consultant for several Fortune 500 companies, including New York Life, Exxon and Shell.
Ahmad holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, Physics and Mathematics, as well as an MBA from Texas Tech. He has received advanced education from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a board member of Texas Tech University and MicroClassic Integration, Inc. He is also an advisor to the Chairman of the Board at Priest River Ltd., which is a privately owned holding company with a $300 million fund that invests in and acquires start-ups.
Some of his most recent honors include an invitation to sit on the Customer Advisory Board of the Microsoft SQL Server Group and acceptance of one of the Houston Business Journal’s FastTech 50 awards.
