Chief Engineer at Baker Hughes

  • In her current role, Tauseef is responsible for delivering technical expertise and rigor during development of new technologies, identification and dissemination of new engineering standards and best practices across the Baker Hughes Enterprise. The Design Review Process includes design for manufacturability, reliability, safety and cost performance – primary focus is early mitigation of risk to improve first time yield and time to market.
  • She is also responsible for steering knowledge management through subject matter expert committees on Nanotechnology, Complex Fluids, Modeling and Simulation, High temperature, high pressure electronics, Materials, and Reservoir Technologies.
  • Tauseef has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rice University, Houston. She has been an invited panelist for SPE Annual Technology Conference and Women’s Global Leadership in Energy and Technology and was nominated to be a (Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association) PESA Emerging Leader at Baker Hughes in 2007.
  • She has over 14 years of experience in oilfield production systems.
  • Worked in 18 different countries.
  • Authored 17 technical publications and holds 2 U.S. patents and 4 patent applications.
  • Member of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE), and American Chemical Society (ACS).
  • She is the Vice President of the Southern Region of the North American UET Alumni Association. She is the President on the Board of Directors of Developments in Literacy - Houston (DIL – a non-profit organization, promoting education of underprivileged children in rural areas of Pakistan), and an active member of the Houston World Affairs Council (HWAC). She is a Charter Member of OPEN.
